Good news for fox and rabbit shooters who want to be able to see their quarry much
better at night, but can’t afford the many thousands of pounds needed to upgrade their night vision equipment to a higher
quality, (or wish they had a Generation not available to the public). Global Rifle, the European Distributor
for Golight has developed a MilSpec Infrared conversion for their remote control lamps. This is freely available within the
UK. The specially formulated filter transmits infrared radiation at wavelengths greater than 750nm and are thereby virtually
opaque to visible light, with excellent transmittance. With a clip-on adaptor, it provides both spot and flood
beams for different applications. Spot is powerful enough to illuminate (with infrared) a target a couple of fields away.
Flood beam adapter is useful for closer work.
The modification can be fitted in-house to either Golight or Golight
Radioray models, either at time of purchase or as a retrofit. Cost of conversion is £170.21
plus VAT.
The Snipersystems Enhancer has now been used for several
months by both the Military and by the Police, and is also being fitted to armoured vehicles used by security firms.
